SI and its principals have worked in over 100 countries to augment the performance of nearly 1000 development projects and programs. Our work with a broad array of client organizations enables us to advance collaborative learning and to increase development effectiveness and impact.

Sub-Saharan Africa

Sub-Saharan Africa remains the world's most pressing development challenge. SI's work in the region focuses on improving performance of organizations and programs working to fight HIV/AIDS, reduce poverty and build stronger governance, especially in fragile states.

Asia & Pacific

Home to three fourths of the world's population and most of the world's poor, the Asia and Pacific region faces enormous development challenges. SI's work in the region focuses on strengthening organizations and programs working to reduce poverty, increase accountability of governments to citizens and to protect the environment.

Latin America & Caribbean

With 525 million people the region is made up of mostly middle income countries and is the most urbanized region in the developing word. SI fortifies organizations and programs in the region working to promote health, prevent HIV/AIDS and to better manage the environment.

Europe & Central Asia

This diverse set of countries, ranging from middle to low income, have experienced significant economic and democratic reform. SI strengthens organizations and programs in the region working to create a more vibrant civil society, improve governance, and promote health and economic growth.

Middle East & North Africa

Critical challenges for the region include peace and stability, strengthening governance and public sector accountability, private sector development and conserving water resources. SI's work to improve program and organizational performance in the region touches upon each of these areas.
